Celebrating the 27th JfL Class in Branson, MO

Jesus Was Homeless

Jesus Was Homeless (JWH) serves communities in the Branson, MO area by providing “next steps” through weekly meal delivery, employment training and access to health care to those at or below the poverty line and those that live in weekly and extended-stay motels. Their work is helping to restore faith, hope, love and dignity in order by breaking the cycle of poverty for generations to come.

As part of their employment training, JWH integrates the Jobs for Life platform to help prepare for employment. They have been hosting JfL classes for several years, and in May 2018 they celebrated their 27th class!

According to Ashley Harkness, Community Relations Director at JWH, 77% of their JfL graduates have found full-time employment! They also celebrate that around 55% of their graduates move from homelessness/motel to permanent housing.

A graduate from their 13th class recently gave them an update about their life. Here's what she shared:

-----------------

"THANK YOU TO Jobs for Life & Jesus Was Homeless! Due to the education classes I took and graduated, you have helped me ACE my job interviews, land better pay, and have great confidence! Job interviews that have all begun by saying, “you won’t have an answer for at least a couple days,“ to the end of interviews being HIRED ON SPOT! I’m beyond thankful to you & to ALL MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS who stand next to me, giving me the best CONFIDENCE a person can have!

I JUST LANDED AN AWESOME JOB, WITH GREAT PAY AND BENEFITS! Best pay I’ve ever had!"
