JfL CORE, a live training event consisting of interactive facilitation, engaging group discussions, and challenging exercises led by JfL staff and experienced leaders, will guide you and your team through the necessary steps to plan, start and sustain a Jobs for Life class at your church or organization and help you prepare men and women for meaningful work in your community.

(JfL CORE Training is required for new sites that have never led a JfL class. At least two individuals from your organization are required to attend if you have never led a JfL class.)

NOTE: JfL CORE Training is required to gain access to Jobs for Life tools and resources, to gain access to purchase the JfL curricula, and to be authorized to facilitate a JfL class or PfL class. For new sites that have never led a JfL class, a minimum of two team members from your organization must be in attendance.

JfL CORE Training Options:
(There are two training options currently available.)


Option #1: JfL Hosted Trainings ("Open" training event)

These trainings are hosted by the Jobs for Life national office, and are open to anyone. (See top of this page for the updated JfL Hosted training schedule.)

• Cost: $229/person


Option #2: Onsite Hosted Training ("Closed" training event)

In this option, JfL Trainers train up to 35 participants from different churches/organizations in cities around the country. The host organization will provide the space, as well as all meals during training (dinner on the first night, continental breakfast and lunch during the second day of the event).

• Cost: $5,000/training event

Debriefing Sessions

To complement this training, each Site that completes JfL CORE will receive a two-hour Debriefing Coaching Session after facilitating its first class with a Certified Trainer to discuss a S.W.O.T. Analysis. The Certified Trainer will assess the findings and submit a detailed report to the Site Leader with suggested next steps.
