I heard this question while visiting my family over the holidays. It was during one of those long “life conversations”. You know the ones I’m talking about—the conversations that begin pretty basic, maybe about something you heard on the news or read in a book, but then evolve into a deep conversation about religion or space and time, and you look up and it’s 2:00 in the morning and you realize you’ve just eaten the last piece of your mom’s homemade pumpkin pie.
