Training Specialist

Location: Raleigh, NC

Status: Part-time

Reports to: Director of Training & Leadership Development

Position Summary:

Jobs for Life’s (JfL) Training Specialist will assist with the administration of training and leadership development functions; provide administrative support to the Training Department, manage contracts and proposals; manage and coordinate training dates and logistics. This position will be responsible for managing Salesforce database for measurement and evaluation. The individual will report to the Director of Training & Leadership Development.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Hands-on experience coordinating multiple training events
  • Experience with e-Learning platforms and uploading content
  • Manage training evaluations and generate reports
  • Create and manage filing system for certified trainers
  • Effectively prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines with strong organizational skills
  • Follow-up and follow through on assigned projects
  • Highly proficient in details
  • Support the creation of online network content and distribution mechanisms
  • Set-up conference calls and meetings for Training Team and Trainers
  • Schedule, coordinate and manage travel for Training Team
  • Other projects or duties as assigned by senior staff

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Training experience preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proven interpersonal and team leadership skills with a diverse set of audiences
  • Previous community development or experience working with marginalized populations preferred
  • Strong proficiency, aptitude, and comfort level with technology, including Mac computers, software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Suite, Learning Management Systems and social media (Facebook, Twitter)
  • Highly professional with strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Ability to work without supervision and manage time effectively
  • Attention to detail, commitment to follow through and highly efficient
  • Own transportation is a must
