| Job Fair Held at Jobs for Life Site
Wesleyan First Church of Deliverance sees 30 individuals participate in first job fair
Raleigh, NC, July 20, 2006
Wesleyan First Church of Deliverance (WFCOD) held its first Job Fair on July 20, 2006 with over 30 individuals participating. The Job Fair was designed for the graduates of its recent Jobs for Life class as well as others in the community who were looking for meaningful employment opportunities. Kim Baston, from Greene Resources, a staffing agency for several companies in the Raleigh-Durham area and a Jobs for Life Business Partner said, "We saw some great candidates today, people who would really fit the needs of our clients."
The Job Fair began with a wecome from Pastor Charles Brown, Pastor of WFCOD, and Pastor Ronald Sharpe from Powerhouse Church of Jesus Christ, the two churches that together led the Jobs for Life class. In addition, David Spickard, President & CEO of Jobs for Life, along with Staci Wallace, Mrs. North Carolina 2006, addressed the participants with a word of encouragement to kick off the job fair.
