Workshop Highlights:

Pillar #1: Leadership
Through JfL training, a leader's service and investment of compassion, time and commitment to excellence will play an intricate part in God's work of transforming lives through learned Biblical principles, practical work readiness skills and meaningful relationships. This workshop will look at how to recruit, train and build an effective JfL leadership team.

Pillar #2: Community
Providing lasting community to the JfL students is one of the most rewarding and challenging parts of the JfL model. Together we will focus on how to build a community of relationships around JfL students to provide an effective support system and access to resources and opportunities to help them succeed. We will examine the purpose and "how to" of mentoring and its role in the transformation of lives.

Pillar #3: Training
Where do we find students? How do we get the word out on JfL training? How do we create a welcoming environment that encourages learning, participation, and relationship building? What motivates a student to complete the course? This session will address student recruitment, ways to market JfL training in your community and creative ways to "put the WOW" in JfL training.

Pillar #4: Jobs
Before you even start a JfL class, you may be hesitant thinking...if we do the training, we need to make sure people will be able to get jobs when they complete the course. What if no company will hire them?  What if there are no jobs in our area? How do we connect to companies and let them know the benefits of being involved with JfL? What do businesses need? What do we have to offer? How do we secure business involvement? These are very legitimate questions to ask for a training called JOBS for Life. We will answer these questions together as we look at building healthy business relations through JfL.
